Check the medicine before it reaches the animal

VeriVet Mobile · Works offline Ready for deployment

VeriVet is a mobile app that tells farmers, shops and inspectors in seconds whether a veterinary medicine is registered, in date and not recalled. Photograph the pack, read the answer by its shape, and keep fake, expired and recalled products away from animals and the food they produce.

Impact · ready for deployment

An answer at the point of sale, not weeks later.

Every scan ends in one of three results, in seconds, with or without a connection. A shop can block a recalled batch at the till, a farmer can see exactly when a withdrawal period ends, and the authority can send a recall to every registered shop at once. VeriVet is ready for deployment with national veterinary authorities in any country.

3

Clear results

Registered and in date, check before selling, or do not sell. Each one has its own shape.

4

Audiences

Farmers, shops, pharmaceutical companies and governments, each with the tools they need.

Offline

Works without internet

Checks keep working in the field and sync when a connection returns.

Any

Country

Built to compare products against each country's own registry and regulator warnings.

Challenge

Fake, expired and recalled medicines are hard to spot on a shelf.

A veterinary pack looks the same whether it is registered, expired or counterfeit, and a recall notice rarely reaches the shop or farm in time. The people who need to decide, at the counter or in the barn, are often offline, short of time, and reading a label in a second language. Registries and regulator warnings exist, but they are not where the decision gets made.

Three results

The shape matters more than the colour.

Results are shown as shapes that can be read without words, so the answer is clear to colour-blind users and to people who do not read the app's language. Users are still reminded to read the label.

Registered and in date

The pack matches a registered product, it is in date and the batch is not recalled.

Check before selling

Something needs a closer look, such as an expiry date that is close or packaging that differs.

Do not sell

Recalled, expired, not registered or possibly fake. Set it aside and report it from the app.

How it works

Photograph, read, record.

VeriVet compares what the camera sees with the national product registry and the regulator's current warnings, then keeps a record of what was sold or given, so the check does not end at the scan.

01 · Photograph the pack

One photo of the box, one of the batch and expiry

The app guides the user to frame the pack and the batch details, so a quick check takes seconds.

02 · Get a clear answer

A circle, a triangle or an octagon

The result is matched against the registry and the regulator's alerts, and read aloud on request.

03 · Record sales and treatments

Logs and reminders that follow the label

Shops record each sale. Farmers keep a treatment log and are reminded when a withdrawal period ends.

Who VeriVet is for

One app, four ways to keep medicines honest.

  • FarmersCheck what you buy, keep a treatment log and get reminders when the withdrawal period ends.
  • ShopsCheck stock, block recalled batches at the till and show customers you are a registered shop.
  • Pharmaceutical companiesRegister products and batches, see where they are scanned and receive reports of suspected fakes.
  • GovernmentsThe national veterinary authority approves new products and sends recalls to every shop.

Beyond veterinary medicines

The same method works for agrochemicals.

Every VeriVet scan rests on four checks: registration, batch, expiry and packaging. Those checks are not specific to animal medicines, so the same approach extends to the agrochemicals sold alongside them.

Pesticides, fertilisers and other agrochemicals can be verified in the same way. With reference data built together with manufacturers and distributors, one platform can serve both the veterinary authority and the agrochemicals regulator.

  • RegistrationIs the product approved?
  • BatchIs it a known, genuine batch?
  • ExpiryIs it still in date?
  • PackagingDoes it match the reference?
"
A registry only protects animals when its answers reach the person holding the pack. Putting the check in a phone, making the answer readable without words, and letting it work offline moves enforcement from the office to the counter and the farm gate. Shops and companies see only their own data, and public pages show only notices written by the regulator.
